“The Big Idea – Idea Do iPod Lo” is a new contest that has been started up Sharekhan. The contest has been started up with the aim of receiving new ideas from their users. The retail brokerage house with a strong online trading platform has implemented the idea on their website.
“Despite the myths and challenges involved, online trading has picked up in a big way. Also, besides our customers a lot of other internet users visit our website for information, updates, stock tips etc. and hence in order to make our website more user friendly, more interactive, better personalization and equipped with the latest features that users desire, we have introduced this contest of ‘The Big Idea - Idea Do iPod Lo’,” said Jaideep Arora, Director- Products & Technology, Sharekhan Ltd.
India is seeing a great deal of growth in the online community. Recent figures indicate that there are approximately 45 million users, with a large chunk concentrated in the age group of 18-45. Most of the functionality accounts for activities like email, search, chatting, blogging, bill payment, net banking, job hunting, online shopping, booking tickets, music downlaods and matrimonial searches besides others.
The premise of the contest is quite simple; submit an improvement idea on the Sharekhan website, and there is a possibility of winning an iPod. The contest has no restrictions, except that Sharekhan employees are not allowed to participate in it.
Multiple entries per user have been allowed, although once someone has won, they will no longer be in the running for the prize. The contest closes on the 14th of May.
